Thelma Hansen Fund Competitive Grant Program
The Thelma Hansen Fund (THF) is a University of California (UC) endowment that supports and maintains University research and extension activities for the sustainability and benefit of agriculture and natural resources in Ventura County.
Proposals are requested for research, education and extension/outreach projects addressing Ventura County needs. Proposals have to align with at least one of the UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources Strategic Initiatives and address one or more of the THF goals. Ventura County priorities are listed on Page 6 of the Request for Proposals.
The call is open to UC and non-UC researchers, educators, federal, state, and local public agencies, non-profit organizations, consultants, resource conservation districts, commodity research boards, growers and other interested parties.
Projects can be conducted at the Hansen Agricultural Research and Extension Center (HAREC) or other locations within or outside of Ventura County, as long as the project clearly benefits Ventura County.
The deadline for proposal submission is Friday March 8 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Proposals are submitted electronically via the UC ANR Universal Review System. The Request for Proposals and proposal forms are available below for downloading.
